Happy 200th birthday

Today we celebrate Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. I didn't have time to bake a cake, but stuffed strawberries are always good in a pinch. Abe, you are in my everyday thoughts, and our company enourages all new managers to read "Lincoln on Leadership".

For me, Abe is a symbol of achievable change. According to the White House website, he educated himself while laboring hard on a farm, yet later rose to the office of Presdident.

Happy Birthday Abe!

  1. What a coincidence, I'm doing a post on his birthday today too! Thanks to you, I now know it was his 200th so I can add that.

I'd take your strawberries anyday over cake :-)

  5. Debbie, I remembered it was Abe's birthday but had forgotten it's the 200th.

I guess that's why they brought out those four new pennies today.

I've never made your strawberries, but everyone that has raves about them. I must do that soon.

  6. Debbie, I really have to make your strawberries. I'm not sure I can wait until summer either.

  7. Aren't you just the sweetest celebrating Abe's big birthday. I am sure he would have loved the strawberries. I have a bunch to eat in the fridge. Gotta do at least a few like you.
