Envision being in Italy, passing under the towering arches that evoke the Roman Coliseum. The flower show was so romantic-minded, and used a lot of pink and white Bougainvillea. I can only imagine the hard work that went in this show.

Summit of Rocky Peak Ridge

We are Adirondack 46ers, which is an organization of hikers who have climbed all forty-six of the traditionally recognized High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. We are referred to as 46ers. We completed the 46 peaks on August 26, 2000. Click our picture for more information.

I think these are my favorite so far! These really say Italy. I love the urn with the fern in it! Is that Joe in front of the naked mannequins? I also smiled at the shot of the statue with the cap on her head.
ReplyDeleteSusan and I noticed the same things!! Was wondering if Joe put that red cap on the head of the statue..and of course I bet you had to force him to stand in front of the naked mannequins!!
ReplyDeleteDo you know how long it took to put the show together before they opened the doors? It had to have taken a week or more!
The huge urn with the roses is gorgeous. I can only imagine how fragrant that display was.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful show. I would have loved to seen pictures from the Mardi Gras show.
I was scrolling down to pick a favorite and there is Joe posing with the naked mannequins...too funny!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful all these photos are and I love all the columns, iron work and especially the 3 fountains in pots with the sunflowers nearby.
Wow, so much to see.
ReplyDeleteGreat to be able to take pics so you can look at them over and over!
Wish we could have all been there with you. I've never seen anything like it. I know you and Joe had a fun-filled time. Nice pic of him and I see he's carrying a bag. Now are you going to share all your purchases with us?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous set of photos Debbie! I love all of the statuary. The first pic is so pretty! Love the pink of course. And the arched gate..NICE! I need one like that. I remember seeing a Poseidon guy at the Boboli gardens in Florence like the one in your pics. I need to go through my old pics to compare. I love the idea of a theme carried throughout. I would have loved to see the Mardi Gras one!!!! Keep the photos coming!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! So much to see in such a short time, bet you wished you could have stayed a week!
