Philadelphia Garden Show - Part 1 - Wine on the Patio

Wow, we just had an unbelievable tour of Italy that didn't require a passport! Bella Italia is the theme of the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show, and it is a dreamy, sweep you off your feet show. The show continues until Sunday, so if you are in the area, it is a must see.

I took over 400 pictures, and will post them in groups by theme. This grouping is Dining Al Fresco and Wine on the Patio in Tuscany.

  2. My gosh where do I start... I noticed the beau anthurium bouquets, the large turquoise blue vase. Thought the carafes of wine corks were so cute!

What was the deal with all the wine bottles on the floor (under bushes)?

    Can't wait for more!!

  3. I just loved part one and can't wait for each new post you add. I clicked each photo for the full size version and studied them for ideas. Such detail they put in "staging" the outdoor dining areas. I loved the tall blue glass fountain with the blue glass rocks underneath too. Wine must have been a central theme as they all had it displayed on the tables but I too noticed them scattered all over the beds and in the vase on the first photo. Looks like it was the "day after" :-)

  6. Back from my closer look. I need one of those sedum heads! And I love the blue "stream". Isn't it just amazing the work that must go into these displays..the planning ahead of time for months. I hope to get to this show one day!

  7. LOL! The theme was "wine on the patio". There were wine bottles everywhere. Wait until you see the chianti "hedge". I'll post that soon.

Carol, I did buy a few neat items, and will post that under "purchases". Hope you can wait!

I love to eat "al fresco" and would love to visited "Bella Italia". The details at the show are almost overwhelming. I see new things each time I click and enlarge a picture.
