Christmas Tablescaping

Since we always go to Mom's for Christmas dinner, there is no need to tablescape for the holidays. Last year, I was at the Williams-Sonoma store in New York City on December 26th, and I found the "12 days of Christmas" plates for 50% off. There was only one set left, and I couldn't resist. They came nicely packaged in a drum. And the box was heavy! My husband carried them around the city for me.  So this Christmas, I tablescaped just for fun. Our sons are joining us for a pasta dinner on Wednesday. Do you think they will notice? Ha ha :-)

I also decided to use the drum packaging for a centerpiece. Doing my part to recycle.

As the holidays are fast approaching, this will be my last blog post until after Christmas. Wishing you and your families a Merry Christmas!

On the Third Day of Christmas: Three French Hens. You might be wondering what French Hens taste like... (you know what's coming) Chicken, of course!  I think I will serve french bread or french wine.

One more tablescape, using Mackenzie-Childs courtley check plates and gold chargers. Next Christmas, I WILL take photos of all the Twleve Days of Christmas plates!!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I'm glad you couldn't resist buying those plates at WS because they're beautiful! Hopefully, your sons will appreciate the lovely table you've set for them :)

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Debbie!

  2. Debbie, Your table setting is gorgeous and I love how you used the drum as the centerpiece. I know your son's will appreciate the table...they love their mom!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  3. Pretty table! I forgot you bought those last year..
I don't think there will be very much left for the after Cmas sale. WS/PB had a lot less than they had last year, and it was already 60 off last week.
I guess due to the economy they didn't order as much..
    Merry Christmas, Debbie..enjoy your family!

  4. Pretty table, Debbie, and I hope you get to Williams-Sonoma on the 26th this year as well :)

Merry Christmas to you and you family!

  5. Beautiful table - I'm sure the boys will notice, LOL. Merry Christmas!

  6. Debbie, what a fun and pretty table ... I love your use of the amaryllis on your table. Over the years, I bet you will get lots of use of your 12 days of Christmas plates. I was in W-S on Wednesday, and this year's Nutcracker were already 50% off. They're pretty cute, too, but I didn't buy them since I have way too many Christmas plates.

Wishing you and your entire family a wonderful Christmas.

  7. I just adore these plates and would have been sorely tempted myself. I'm glad you got to use them! The 12 days of Christmas actually starts on Christmas itself so you could use them again..maybe on Jan 6th..the day of the Magi.

  8. Debbie, perfect looking tablescapes!

I'm so happy you decided to stop by my blog. Please leave a comment as I enjoy hearing from each and every one of you!
