Forest-in-a-Pot

The backyard at the lake is a deep, mossy forest with many "treasures".  I go for a short walk just to look for forest treasures. It is sooooo peaceful in the forest. After gathering some moss, ferns and small seedling trees, I put together an enchanted forest in a pot. (I also added a succulent) This would be fun to do with children!

  1. I also planted so many berries in my garden. But my garden doesn't get direct sun all day which keeps things from burning but they just aren't producing. The master gardener sight told me that plants will go into hibernation mode to protect themselves when it's this hot day.

  3. The wild blueberries up here in the Adirondacks are so SWEET and delicious right now, no? Big Daddy almost got chased off by a big black bear yesterday when picking some down by the river. He sort of looks like a big bear, himself....Beautiful post--thank you!

  5. This reminds me so much of when we would vacation at my parents' cottage in northern Wisconsin. I still have ferns and pines growing here that I transplanted from their place. I love the Forest in a Pot idea!
