BLUEBERRY MUFFIN MACKENZIE-CHILDS BOUQUET

Blueberry picking is one of summer's delights. The blueberry patch that I go to is only open on Saturday's for picking, so I get up at the crack of dawn and pick for a couple of hours. The field is filled with other happy pickers. I enjoy the conversations as much as the berries ;o)

Blueberry muffins are a must when I get home.

The flowered plates, butterfly napkin rings and small colander are from Mackenzie-Childs, and I was lucky enough to find a bouquet of colorful napkins at Tuesday Morning last year. There are a total of 12 napkins and each one is a different color. They are so cheerful!

I picked some red hibiscus for the table. The blooms are as big as a salad plate.

Help yourself to a muffin from the bouquet :o) I am joining Let's Dish at Cuisine Kathleen's blog this week since I finally had a few minutes to put a table together. The friendly bloggers that participate are the best!

  2. I am SO proud of you that you can get up early to go out and stoop over for 2 hours!!! I would be griping the entire time! :-) I am sure those berries taste much, much sweeter and are juicier than what we get in the stores, though, because you're picking them at the height of their ripeness on the vine. (They're vines, right? Or are they bushes? I am obviously a pitiful city dweller!) I love the color combinations here!!! The vivid colors against the black & white check is really great! SUPER fun napkin rings, too!!! I love that they are so big!!!

    1. Hi Alycia, they are bushes. I have to drive about 25 miles to the blueberry patch, but it is soooo worth it! They are very sweet this year, and they rent bees to pollinate them. The people that have the blueberry patch are retired teachers, and have been doing this for about six years. I have not missed a year!!

    1. Sarah, I would love the recipe! I think the cupcake holders are made by Wilton. Very sturdy.

    1. Marlis, I bought the napkin rings at Mackenzie-Childs, and they appear to be crocheted out of some type of fiber. They are kind of stiff. I know you could make them since you are so talented.

  15. Very pretty, Debbie! I never have good luck at Tuesday Morning for some reason. Perhaps our store doesn't have a good buyer like yours does. Love the muffins with the cut flower-like liners.

  18. I am so excited that I found your awesome blog. There is so much to see. I have been going through your posts, but plan on going through more later today. Your muffins are goreous. I am a very good cook and baker, but even though my food taste good ( very important ) it lacks the charm of presentation that yours has. When I am through typing this I am going to hit the follow button and hopefully some of your talent will rub off in my direction. Have a wonderful day and if you have a minute, come on over for a little visit. Your newest follower, Connie :)
