High and Low

If you have ever watched The High Low Project with Sabrina Soto on HGTV, you will better understand this post. The High Low Project offers two reveals — one high-end and one budget conscious which try to mirror the high-end look. I love watching this show!

Last weekend I was preparing for our dinner party, and decided to check out an event hosted by local artists to see if I could find a pair of bird earrings similar to the "high-end" bluebird earrings. I found my "bluebird of happiness" earrings for $10, and they fit the theme of the dinner. An inexpensive special occasion dazzler.

Our dinner party was so much fun, and I promise to share some photos soon. I decorated our home with lots of birds nests and yellow pansies. I can't wait to tell you all about this pesto and goat cheese nest appetizer that was a big hit.

  1. Ooh I LOVE your bluebird earrings!! Aren't they great?? The price is right, too. That's my idea of earring happiness. The nest appetizer is WONDERFUL. I love fun food! i look forward to seeing more of your dinner and the recipe. Happy weekend, sweet friend! xo

  2. I haven't seen that show, but wow, those are some really expensive earrings in the first photo. There must be gold in setting.

Can't wait to see more of your photos and I love your bird-themed party, Debbie. Looking forward to that recipe too :)

  3. I am sold on the appetizer, Debbie. I can imagine how good the rest of the dinner was and how pretty too. Love the earrings too!....Christine

  4. I've never heard of the High Low Project, but I guess it's something I try to do in my every day life since I don't have a lot of money to spend but have that infamous "champagne taste" everyone talks about!!! :-) Looking forward to seeing your other photos!!!

  5. Debbie~ Your bluebird of happiness earrings are adorable and a much more palatable pricetag :) Love the cheese nest with thyme sprigs!

  6. Debbie, these are adorable. Your dinner party sounds like a fun time. Eager to see your photos. '-)
