SUNSETS, CLOUDS & MOUNTAINS

I am truly inspired by the Adirondack Mountains....fresh sparkling water and mossy greens. All photos were taken on our recent visit to Lake Placid.

Lakes, mountains and rivers. The peace and serenity.

Some days are misty blues and grays. We treasure those days for catching up on reading and crafting. I've been crafting with large pine cones lately. I'll {hopefully} show you what I am making at Christmas time. Wouldn't it be fun cruising around the mountains in this sweet Deux Chevaux automobile? Of course I love the picnic basket. And the lace on the back seat. I spotted it parked on Main Street in Lake Placid.

Farmers Markets spell SUMMER to me. We had the Buttery Banana Fingerlings for dinner tonight with locally raised chicken from the Jones Family Farm. Every other Monday, we receive farm shares of produce and chicken.

Good night to you. Are you enjoying your summer?

  3. Monique, I had to look the car's name up. Yes, it's a Deux Chevaux (Citroën 2CV). You would pack that picnic basket with a beautiful cheese board with M's homemade jam ;o)

The photo with interior lighting was taken at a cabin in Lake Placid.

  4. LOVE the Citroën! Lovely post, Debbie. What beautiful scenery! We have been entirely too busy this summer, and it's all my fault for over-scheduling! But I've learned my lesson!

  5. Ahhhh I feel like I just breathed in the clean, fresh mountain air, my friend! After I read your post, I just took in a deep breath, like I was experiencing it all through your photos. I loved the car...so charming with the basket and the lace. Your photo collages are serene, calming and peaceful. Bless you for virtually taking me along. Now if I could just taste those buttery fingerlings and farm fresh chicken, I would be a happy camper! xo

  11. I am enjoying summer, Debbie, but apparently -- not as much as YOU!
Wow! These photos are breathtaking. Seriously. I am dying to get to the Adirondecks one of these days..... one of these days!

Have not really taken any vacations this summer but spent a long weekend at a cabin in the Northwoods of WI two weeks ago, and will spend another one in New Hampshire at the end of the month when we drop by baby off at college in VT!

Empty nester --- and the tears have already started.
    :(

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos.
