HALLOWEEN AT MOM'S

Mom and I have lost count, but we think she has carved approximately 125 pumpkins over the last seven years. I previously did a post on her pumpkins explaining that Mom uses the "carvable" foam pumpkins and Pumpkin Masters patterns. After she finishes carving the pumpkin, she traces around a quarter coin on the bottom back of the pumpkin and cuts a hole for the light. The trick or treaters and neighbors look forward to the display each year. Our local TV station also features them. This year she is having health issues, so we set them up in her three stall garage so we can sit in the garage to pass out candy and the kiddos can visit her and stay warm and dry. Halloween weather is very unpredictable in our area.

If you have a favorite, I'd love to know.

  7. I remember all these wonderful pumpkins that your mom carved and I'm so happy to see them again, Debbie. I love the owl that says "Turn Back " (and then I can't see the last word) and I love the owl towards the bottom, on the left. They're all wonderful and such patience your sweet Mom has! I hope she feels better soon. Happy Halloween! xo
