Bye Bye Easter

Our Easter was lovely with sunshine and warmish temperatures. We had our family and new grandson Xavier over for brunch, and I hope you had a wonderful Easter too. Thank you to my loyal followers for the continued interest in my blog. I look back at the posts from previous years and know that I have not been setting pretty tables and showing dinner parties like I used to. I had a three hour dental appointment this morning to have a crown replaced and had two 45 minute breaks (while they made the crown, etc.) and really enjoyed some quiet time. (My job is non-stop busy so I'm sure you understand) They asked if I brought a book to read or if they could offer a magazine. Instead, I looked through 1,800 photos on my iPhone and did a clean up of about 500. It took over 90 minutes to delete 500! What I realized (and already knew) is that I have a fun life with a wonderful family and friends.

  1. Yes, I am one that really misses your unique tablescapes, Debbie! I know you have a busy life, it will get busier now that Xavier has entered it. I have enjoyed the pictures you have posted on FB. He is adorable.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

  2. I completely understand your busy schedule, Debbie, and am thankful each day that my working career is behind me. I also understand the time involved with dental procedures from my last year's experience. The purging of photos is really underrated - it's a huge task, just as email or any other document purge. I love all your MC, you know, and how you've put it together so well for display and tabletop use. No better way to make guests feel special, in my opinion!

  3. Having Xavier as your special guest must've been the highlight of you day, Debbie! I loved seeing how all your spring colors go so well with all your M-C pretties. You've displayed and used your lovely things with such flair. Sadly, I know so well all about crowns. However, you used your time at the dentist so wisely, and realized the beauty of your fun-filled, full life. Living life is more important than blogging! xo

  4. Looks like you presented a very nice selection of food for Easter! Congratulations on your grandson Xavier. I'm going to be a grandmother for the first time come this September! Looking forward to my new title! That's really great that they can make your crown while you are there instead of having to return for another appointment. I need to clean up my iPhone pictures too. It's fun to look through them though and remember back to the different moments when the pictures were taken.

  6. Hi Debbie, Sorry you have to go through the dreaded dental activities but soon it will be over! In the meantime I'm sure you are enjoying your new little angel. I've been deleting photos ever since I saw how much cloud storage space I have used up and what it would cost to increase my storage. It feels good, like spring cleaning. I like your tables, but I also enjoy hearing about your travels and seeing new recipes too. You will be even busier now and we will look forward to seeing your posts, whatever they may be about! Linda

  7. Debbie, I can totally relate to hundreds of photos. I need to go through, organize, and clean up my files. It's overwhelming! Using the time at the dentist office is a great idea. My husband had a four hours dental appointment this week. His was for crowns too. Not fun!
I love seeing your pretty Easter decor. Your table and the menu are both making me smile. Love the CC details of your table. As for your new family member, well, we all know how busy you are going to be now. Enjoy every minute of being a grandmother. Xavier is a lucky little guy!
