Skip The Line at the MacKenzie Childs Barn Sale

I jumped at the chance to  #SkipTheLineMC at the 2016 Barn Sale. On Sunday, I entered their Instagram photo challenge and shared a selfie with my Courtly Check phone cover and purse. If you've never been to the Barn Sale, let me tell you that it is NOT in my blood to wait in line for THREE hours but I did in 2013 because I went on Day #2 which is a popular day. A friend of mine goes on DAY ONE due to the fact that she spends big bucks on furniture and it is quite a savings. During my three hour wait in line, I found that most of the shoppers had flown in from other states. That was our fourth annual trip to the barn sale, and we have always gone on a Saturday except that year.  This year we are going on Saturday, and if we get there by 7 a.m., we usually get in during the first wave at 8 a.m.

The photos below were just a few that were submitted for the  #SkipTheLineMC at the 2016 Barn Sale Instagram challenge. MacKenzie Childs barn sale shoppers are so much fun and creative! If anyone is interested in going to the Barn Sale in 2017, let me know and I will help you organize your trip.

I also submitted this photo with the Parchment Check vase. I use it all summer.
Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Debbie, I hope you are selected for early admittance so you can scoop up some delightful goodies and not wait in the heat!!! Can't wait to see what you find. Those photos are adorable, especially the munchkin on the server. They must love the shot of you and Joe--husband in tow for the sale to carry all the treasures! Have fun! Linda

  7. Ha Ha, I didn't expect to win! They just picked the winners, there were seven. I have all year to come up with something for next year's barn sale. I didn't really need to skip the line since I am going on Saturday and can get right in.

  8. So very clever. I am sorry that you didn't get to skip the line. I loved the pool floats (we have that same swan). I was in upstate New York this month in the Finger Lakes region. I have never been there before, and I want to come back! the region intrigues me. We swam in Lake Canandagua (sp?), which is fun to say, I might add. We were there for the Palmyra Pageant. Are you anywhere near there? Have fun at the barn sale, it sounds like a good time.Joni

    1. Kassie, everything at the barn sale is at least 50% off. Depending of what you purchase, even with that discount, I typically spent about $500. Feel free to email me for details.

  11. Hello Debbie. My mom, sister and I are planning a trip for the Barn Sale this summer for July 19-22. We are coming from the Texas Gulf Coast and flying into Rochester. We are not sure if we should stay in Auburn or Seneca Falls. We would appreciate any tips on where to stay, go, shopping tips on what to do or not to do, etc. Thank you!
