My bloggy buddy from Kitty's Cozy Kitchen and I have been enjoying Eggnogg'n seasonal winter tea. Kitty blogged about it, and it sounded so good that I went searching all the grocery stores in our area for it. When I came up empty handed, Kitty graciously mailed me some. I love it!
In celebration of Hot Tea Month (according to Bigelow), I've set a table for my dear friends Kitty (Texas) and Carol (Kansas). Carol doesn't have a blog but follows mine, and we exchange emails every week. It's been a pleasure getting to know one another. Without this blog, we would have never "met". Carol found out that I love the Eggnogg'n tea, and also sent me some! I used a vintage tablecloth from my great-grandmother.
We'll be using this silver spoon that has been in my family for over 70 years. It is engraved with my maiden name Robinson, and belonged to my dad's grandparents. I made some sugar cube hearts for our tea, but I'm guessing Kitty and Carol are already sweet enough ;o)
That cute creamer was given to me by my maternal grandmother, and I believe it came from her mother.
I put it on the table, not knowing if Carol or Kitty use cream in their tea.
I use the "Teacupcakes" quite a bit. They make a nice presentation for ordinary cupcakes.
Lucky for me, we have a new cupcake shop just around the corner. I decided on these flavors today. I wonder which cupcake Kitty and Carol will choose.
Almond Joy
Cookies and Cream
Red Velvet
Chocolate Chocolate
Joe and I enjoyed our cupcakes with cappuccino for breakfast. Joe isn't very fond of tea, but LOVES his cappuccino maker.
Thank you for stopping by! I heard that the Christmas Tree Shoppe might still have some of the Eggnogg'n tea. I will be joining Foodie Friday where you will always find something food related to try.
XO

Welcome

Blogging has introduced me to a wonderful community of peers, and we learn so much from one another. I'm a New York girl decorating with MacKenzie-Childs one season at a time! I enjoy hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the Adirondack Mountains (thus Mountain Breaths). I live in Upstate NY with my supportive husband and have three adult sons and two precious grandsons.

How lovely, Debbie. Those sugar hearts are so cute. Aren't blogging friends just the greatest, or even just the ones we meet while blogging even if they do not?...Christine
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love your new look.

Thank you Ann. There is a wonderful fairy blogmother out there that helps with blog design. I'll do a post about her soon.
DeleteHi Debbie, Your blog is always such a lovely and charming place to visit. Your table and cup cakes are beautiful, but what I loved best was hearing about the delightful friendships that you enjoy because of blogging. I love that blogging has become this warm friendly community. I know that I also feel very blessed by friendships that I have discovered through blogging. Blogging is so much more than I ever, ever, ever imagined when I started my journey.
ReplyDeleteI am also excited that I could inspire you to get your journal back out and start journaling again.
The pictures on those Paris pages were clip art and the night photo of the Eiffel Tower was one I took at the Paris casino in Vegas. My Steve had to go there for a business workshop and wives were invited . . . we are not gamblers, but the sightseeing was wonderful.
I have been thinking about trying to cut a book on the band saw. Ask your husband if it cut easily and if he has any extra safety precautions to pass on. I worry about the pages wanting to slip or gum up. Please ask him . . . the last thing I want to do is go into a dangerous project, unaware of safety.
I hope that you are having a lovely weekend.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Sure wish that I liked tea, so many cute tea sets. Pretty tablecloth, it looks vintage.
ReplyDeleteCute table! I love your teacup cupcake holders:@)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and fun table....Love those little teacupcakes. Eggnog tea, what a wonderful treat. Looks like a perfect little tea party, sugar hearts and all. What lovely treasures to have the spoon and creamer.
ReplyDeleteAs I sit at my computer enjoying my afternoon Jasmine tea I am so intrigued by the Eggnoggin tea! I'll have to see if our store carries it. I'll bet it taste luscious! Wish I had one of your cupcakes to go with my tea :)
ReplyDeleteForgot to say...LOVE your new header!
ReplyDeleteOh Debbie, what a wonderful tea party you prepared for us! Yes, I love cream in my tea and I'd love one of those pretty heart sugars that you so artfully prepared. Hmmm as for the cupcakes.... they all look so delicious!! How about we cut them and share??!! I adore the little cupcake holders. They sure make serving the cupcakes so much more fun! Now, for a sip of tea and cheers to you for preparing such a lovely tea. Thank you, my friend!! xo
ReplyDeleteOh, so pretty and cheerful! I love this. I have some heart shaped sugars, but mine are not homemade! Too cute. My MIL sends me fancy sugars from France every year for Christmas. I have been tempted to try and make them when and if I run out! Yours look so pretty! Eggnog tea sounds delicious. I need to try that!
ReplyDeleteKaren
Beautiful tea. I trying to take time everyday to have afternoon tea too.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I hope you find it at CTS!
