Handbag Day 2018 - Handbags of Italy

Handbag Day is October 10 and it's no secret that I love handbags. Having just returned from two weeks in Italy, I really enjoyed browsing the handbags in Milan, Stresa, Bergamo, Verona, Bologna, Bellagio and Venice.

The orangy Hermes bag was styled with my favorite colors black and white. I have a handbag in this same color, and have had more compliments on it over the last year than any handbag I have owned. It's definitely the color that grabs you. We saw a LOT of black and white in Italy in the churches.

I hope you enjoyed some of these great designs and designers. Will you purchase a new handbag (or bags) on Handbag Day when it can be justified and needs no explanation?

My favorite souvenir from Italy is my classic Gucci cross body bag which will be great for doing errands and a night out on the town.

  2. Purses/bags or pocketbooks, as my mother referred to them, are my downfall! I have 10 Michael Kors bags, in different colors/styles....and 3 Lily Bloom, that I dearly love. The colors of those Aigner bags are gorgeous.
    Have a nice week, Debbie.

  8. Love seeing all the handbags on display! I have far too many handbags than I care to admit - LOL. Is the Gucci bag you bought the one with the butterfly on the front of it in your photos? Curious minds need to know :)

    1. Hi Susan! The Gucci bag with the butterfly was lovely but I felt it was too trendy for me. On the music awards last evening, Diana Ross' daughter was wearing the Gucci cape with the same butterflies. I bought the Gucci cross body bag in the classic design, and I will never tire of it :-) I'll send you a photo.
