Fall Blooms #2

We have had a lovely fall, and try very hard to squeeze in a drive to the mountains and going to lunch with a lake view when we can. This weekend we will head to the Spooktacular at the local zoo with Xavier, and hope to do some apple picking. This will be the final "Blooms" post for the year as the blooms have dwindled.

The next group of photos is where I walk at the local college. I am also trying to reduce my book collection, and donate books when I can.

One of the highlights on my walk is admiring the 120 foot Norway Spruce.
The day I took these photos, there was a young couple having photos taken of her baby bump. Such a sweet thing to do these days, we never did that :-)
I don't decorate much for fall, but do enjoy seeing some fall colors in our home. For the first time, I added orange and purple lights on the two windows near the front door so the trick-or-treaters could enjoy the lights and pumpkins in the window. We get a hefty amount of children for Halloween.

  2. Such pretty fall color there and your drive sounds lovely. I enjoyed walking with you and such a pretty place to get those steps in. I don't do a lot of fall decor either Deb. A few pumpkin vignettes and something for the outside steps. Zoos do have such great fall events........I know you enjoy every minute with little Xavier.

  4. Your moon shot is absolutely stellar, Deb!
I'm really sad to say this, but one little library in our town (near an elementary school, no less!) was witnessed as a drug drop point not long ago. :(

  5. Gorgeous photos, Debbie. The reflection of the colorful leaves in the lake is beautiful! I just pulled out all of my dahlias (sob). I love that pumpkin topiary and how perfectly it fits into your home. Not such a great fall here...although the past two days have been sunny and fair. Fingers crossed for more of these and less of the rainy and chilly ones!

  6. You have such a lovely walk at the local college, Debbie! I love the idea of donating your used books, too. I think your Fall decor looks stunning. The topiary is so pretty, and of course your front porch looks so cute with the owl.
