Get Earth Friendly

This week on April 22 we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

“We are called to be the architects of the future, not its victims.”  Buckminster Fuller.

We can all get through this together. It’s all about ideas. If we can heal the planet, we can heal ourselves. Mother Earth says thank you. There are good citizens in every state - from New York to Wyoming - helping save the environment.
Gardens in Maine. Hoping we can visit again soon.

Pink Supermoon from around the world. They are so colorful.
My former co-worker Jennifer moved to Alaska with her family and sent this photo.
This photo was taken at 10 o'clock at night in early April in Anchorage, and the sunset was still stunning.  Jennifer said they are up to more than 14 hours of daylight and will gain another two and a half hours over the next month.

My friend Maureen sent me these sunset photos from AZ. She is headed back to central New York after spending the winter in AZ. "Mo" is in our Scoots group too. We're looking forward to our annual Scoots trip in September. Fingers crossed.
I have taught family and friends about Blue hour photography which is the process of taking photographs during the time of the day that is known as blue hour. The blue hour occurs before sunrise in the morning and after sunset in the evening. The sun has dipped a certain amount below the horizon. Blue hour is also a good time for moon photography. You can Google to see what time blue hour will happen each day, both in the morning and evening.  I

Joe took this photo of me in my spring garden last spring.
THE GREAT EARTH provides nourishment for over 7 billion people everyday.
To my friends and readers, you are all in my thoughts during these unprecedented and worrisome times. We are still enjoying the simple pleasures of sunrise and sunset. Breathe. Relax. Trust. All is well.
