Last summer I received sour dough starter from blog friends in the mail, and it has added smiles to our dinners, hikes, and friend's and family's tables. I have been educating myself and have added grains, made soft pretzels, and recently baked the bread in my cast iron enamelware. I used my Le Creuset two quart pan, and it produced a crunchy loaf of bread that we used for sandwiches for snowshoeing.
Spring is just around the corner, so I thought I would share my winter photos.. Growing up, we always enjoyed winter activities and as adults we still do. The photo below is of my siblings...John, Cheryl, Diane and me. I am the oldest, and Cheryl is the youngest. My sister Cheryl was four years old when she started riding on snowmobiles with our family.
Some of you may remember the moose that was a surprise birthday gift for Joe's 60tth from our very good friends. The moose now resides at our camp, and my sister suggested I have my photo taken with my tote bag. Each winter, Joe has to remove the snow from the roof of the camp with the roof rake. We participated in a few snowshoeing challenges. We completed the Tupper Lake Triad, and are still working on the Adirondack Firetower Challenge.
Looking forward to spring wildflowers!
