Did you get to relax this weekend? Sometimes it's hard to find the time, but it's so important to take time for the simple things. We headed north to our camp in the mountains, there is still plenty of snow for winter activities despite the temperature being around 40. We had the wood burning stove going, it was nice and toasty, so to cool off I went outdoors to finish a glass of wine.
The weather was perfect for building a snowman. It was soooo much fun to be a kid again, and I have to thank my friend Pam for gifting me with this wonderful Snowman in a Box for Christmas.
Kiki enjoys going to the camp just as much as we do. Her friend Chuck always comes by for a visit, and then goes home for a nap. She has a little too much puppy in her for Chuck :-)
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you were able to check off several things from your list this weekend(if not all). LOVE the snowman. What a great gift. Your new background is cute. *wink* Hope you have fun playing around with it. So glad you had a nice relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh cute, Debbie. The snowman kit is a new one to me. All the snow is pretty to see. Easy to see why you can relax there!
ReplyDeleteA wood-burning fire and your place in the mountains reminds me so much of my parents' cottage in northern Wisconsin on a lake, Debbie. I can still smell the pines and the fire in my mind.
ReplyDeleteYour snowman is adorable! Who'd have thought of packaging the ingredients? Cute!
You have a wonderful life - enjoy every second!
Croak! I forgot to say I love the frogs!
ReplyDeleteLove your new border, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a peaceful weekend, nice and cozy!
CTS had snowmen in a box kits, they were so cute. Gsons teacher gave one to each child as a Cmas gift..so sweet..
What a wonderful weekend you must have had! I just love the snow surrounded cabin shot and to read of the crackling fire and going outside with a glass of wine just sounds so RELAXING! How wonderful it must be to have this camp to escape too...is the "dish" holding up under the weight of the snow? I had to take a broom and scrape mine off last month.
ReplyDeleteI love the new border for Valentine's week!
What a great weekend - ws trying to make out the reflections in your wine glass!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Snowman in a Box..great idea! Just happy we don't have that amount of snow anymore..but then there's March left!
