I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! Summer arrived here for our holiday weekend, so I floated on the lake with my tube and ate ice pops. Seriously, it was a lazy weekend, and I'll take that when I can get it!

Taste of Home magazine (June/July 2012 issue) arrived just as we were leaving for the holiday weekend, and the Berry White Ice Pops on page 40 caught my eye. There are only four ingredients - whole milk, honey, vanilla extract and frozen berries. I already had the ice pop molds, so it was a fun, easy, patriotic treat. If you like milk, you will enjoy these. Not too sweet, and no big sugar rush :-)

In case you didn't receive the magazine, here is the recipe as listed in TOH magazine. 

Whisk together 1 3/4 cups whole milk, 1 Tbsp. honey and 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract. Evenly divide one 12 ounce package thawed and drain frozen mixed berries into 10 ice pop molds (or small paper cups). Pour milk mixture over berries. Top molds with holders or insert wooden sticks into cups. Freeze for 4-6 hours or until solid.

  8. Funny, I did pops too :) These are so cute Debbie and perfect for a patriotic holiday! We had a lazy weekend too - it was HOT but that sure changed quickly today.

  9. Now THIS is something I can try since there aren't a ton of ingredients involved!!! I bought bomb pops for the grandkids for this weekend, but I might have to save those back and give these a whirl. They need the calcium with their brittle little bones! :-)
