On Saturday, I went to Destiny USA to do some Christmas shopping. I could NEVER walk by Pottery Barn. Just look at this beautiful table with those plaid plates and deer plates. I would give my eye teeth for that beautiful red pottery vase. Heck, maybe I will ;o) The vase is very large and makes quite a statement filled with those beautiful amaryllis flowers which I already have.
I bought some beautiful beaded birch candles at Pottery Barn, and some polka dot napkins.
The rest of the items were gifts....well almost. I did buy a black fur head band at Saks for our winter trip to Lake Placid, and a skirt for New Year's Eve.
I didn't know there was a Lenox store at Destiny, so I zoomed in there quickly to take a photo for you.
I was somewhat tempted to buy some 2nd quality holly dinner plates but I didn't feel like carrying them around the mall while I was shopping. The 9.99 deal was only in effect for Thanksgiving weekend. I think the discounted price is normally $12.00.

Just look at this little piggy in the courtly checked boots! I collect ornaments, and this little piggy may be coming home with me very soon. Photo from Mackenzie-Childs.
I'm joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday and Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish. Thank you for stopping by!

Deb, your snowman made of plates is too clever. What a darling idea. I'm going to share this with my sister.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the shopping trip was fun. What went home with you? We didn't get out on Friday or yesterday. I might venture out this afternoon, but at the moment it's nice to be cozied up by a fire. Love the MCK-C ornament. There are so many great ones this year. It's going to be a touch decision. ~ Sarah
Lucky you, all those great outlets! We used to have some here, but they went away. Those prices are certainly better than HG and TM.
ReplyDeleteCute setting! Can't believe you had a snowfall.....it doesn't make me as happy as it does others......yikes!! xo
ReplyDeleteI definitely think you should have that little pig. So Cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, yes I did order him. But then I received an email saying he was in short supply and I might not receive him. Boo hoo
DeleteI got mine there for 10, then there is always a coupon if you sign up, so they ended up being 8. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that snowman plate display. Looks like you had fun shopping.
I did a little on line, but I don't go to the store this weekend.
Have a good week, Debbie!
Good to know Kathleen! I will get on the mailing list for coupons.
DeleteI agree the first snow is always fun! I just saw those great PB plates this morning, love both the plaid and the deer! Cute piggy ornament too-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteI just knew you would like that piggy ornament :@
DeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteCute piggy ornament! I like pigs, too. :@) I LOVE the snowman you "built" with the white plates, napkins, and flatware -- such a clever idea!!
It looks like you had a fun shopping trip. I, too, love the Pottery Barn table setting; I can't seem to get enough of plaids these days, especially tartan plaids. It looks like you're going to have a pretty Christmas table at your home.
Have a wonderful week; visiting from Seasonal Sunday.
Denise
I'm sure we'll be having our first snow any time now too, Debbie! I love the first snowfall but after a month or so I could be very happy without it :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like you might be related to my husband . . .
The minute his Thanksgiving plate is emptied, he is thinking about Christmas. It is his favorite time of year :)
Have a wonderful week.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. What a dish lover's delight! The snowman is just wonderful. Dianne
ReplyDeleteNow that is my kind of snowman! You didn't have to get cold or wet, and he turned out much cuter than one made of snow balls. I love that-so clever. I also love your polka dot napkins. I need some of those PB deer plates to top my red plaid plates. I enjoyed your post, and now, I think I'll go build a snowman. laurie
ReplyDeleteYour plates snowman is very cute, Debbie. Thanks for taking us virtual shopping. I was drooling over the deer and tree plates. I have not used my MC plates yet. Maybe after Christmas...Christine
ReplyDeleteDebbie~ I LOVE your snowman built out of plates! So over the top cute, I had to pin! Pottery Barn is a dangerous place for me, I have exercise great restraint :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I am in love with your snowman! What a great idea for a kid's table. They would be so enchanted with that. I love your shopping experience too! How fun. I just got the MC's catalog - swoon, swoon and double swoon! Just probably beyond my budget especially when little ones can break something so easily! The ornament is wonderful.
