We went on a lovely 8 mile hike on Saturday in the north country by our camp. There were no wildflowers blooming yet, and the forest was very quiet. Until my hiking boot caught a rock, and down I went. I hit the ground like never before. Joe couldn't believe the sound of the fall. But I dusted myself off, and felt good.
Until 24 hours later, and then the pain in my neck and head was unbearable. I had to lay in bed for 24 hours so I could get relief from the pain. I probably have a mild concussion since I have all the symptoms. After 48 hours, I am feeling 95% better. I'm going to try to stay off the computer for the next few days ;o)
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning.
Thanks for stopping by!

Debbie

ReplyDeleteDEBBIE!!!!!!!! OK, I'm going to scold you, now: Why didn't you get your little self STRAIGHT to the ER?!??!?!! A concussion is a serious thing. We don't want you takin' yourself outta here before your time, girl!!! I'm glad you're going to the doctor to get checked out, but you KNOW you should have done that right away. You are hereby on punishment until further notice. Go to your room, young lady!
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm finished scolding, I am going to love on you a little bit: I am SO sorry you hurt yourself. I know that had to hurt like the dickens, and surely it shocked you that it could happen during what was an otherwise fabulous and ethereal time adventure. I'm sending you virtual hugs and little butterfly kisses on the top of you head. Feel better soon! :-)
Debbie, be well. The walk looks like it was beautiful! Prayers for a quick and complete recovery. xo marlis

ReplyDeleteI read your post on my phone but didn't comment. Please, please, please be careful and take care of yourself. I'm not meaning to scare you or be negative, but I had a friend who had recurring issues because she didn't follow the doctor's orders! Please take it easy!
ReplyDeletePraying for you, and I hope that your symptoms ease some.

RJ
