I am truly inspired by the Adirondack Mountains....fresh sparkling water and mossy greens. All photos were taken on our recent visit to Lake Placid.

Lakes, mountains and rivers. The peace and serenity.

Some days are misty blues and grays. We treasure those days for catching up on reading and crafting. I've been crafting with large pine cones lately. I'll {hopefully} show you what I am making at Christmas time. Wouldn't it be fun cruising around the mountains in this sweet Deux Chevaux automobile? Of course I love the picnic basket. And the lace on the back seat. I spotted it parked on Main Street in Lake Placid.

Farmers Markets spell SUMMER to me. We had the Buttery Banana Fingerlings for dinner tonight with locally raised chicken from the Jones Family Farm. Every other Monday, we receive farm shares of produce and chicken.

Good night to you. Are you enjoying your summer?

Hello, I'm Debbie.I enjoy hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the Adirondack Mountains (thus Mountain Breaths). I live in Upstate NY with my supportive husband and have three precious sons..

  1. such beautiful photos, wonderful summer ,

  2. Debbie almost the same car was at my market Sat..It's a Deux Chevaux?
Mine didn't have the picnic basket and I am in love:)
Good feelings..all the pics..Love the dusk and interior lighting ..your home?

Summer is flying by and it makes me..sad:( I never wanted to say that but it is.

  3. Monique, I had to look the car's name up. Yes, it's a Deux Chevaux (Citroën 2CV). You would pack that picnic basket with a beautiful cheese board with M's homemade jam ;o)

The photo with interior lighting was taken at a cabin in Lake Placid.

  4. LOVE the Citroën! Lovely post, Debbie. What beautiful scenery! We have been entirely too busy this summer, and it's all my fault for over-scheduling! But I've learned my lesson!

  5. Ahhhh I feel like I just breathed in the clean, fresh mountain air, my friend! After I read your post, I just took in a deep breath, like I was experiencing it all through your photos. I loved the charming with the basket and the lace. Your photo collages are serene, calming and peaceful. Bless you for virtually taking me along. Now if I could just taste those buttery fingerlings and farm fresh chicken, I would be a happy camper! xo

  6. I have never been there, but I know I would love it! Loved the pics of the car, and all the peaceful scenery. Souonds like a wonderful trip! Joni

  7. Gorgeous and serene! Oh and, yep, my other car is a Rolls Royce too:@)

  8. What gorgeous views, Debbie! I love that little car too and it's adorable picnic basket and lace. I love visiting our farmers market in the summer too. I hear the Wisconsin corn is finally coming in :)

  9. Susan, we just had some New York corn and Joe raved about it. Enjoy yours!

  10. Great photos of your trip, Debbie. Looks very relaxing. We used to have a Citroen in the Philippines when I was in HS. That pic sure brought some lovely memories...Christine

  11. I am enjoying summer, Debbie, but apparently -- not as much as YOU!
Wow! These photos are breathtaking. Seriously. I am dying to get to the Adirondecks one of these days..... one of these days!

Have not really taken any vacations this summer but spent a long weekend at a cabin in the Northwoods of WI two weeks ago, and will spend another one in New Hampshire at the end of the month when we drop by baby off at college in VT!

Empty nester --- and the tears have already started.

Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos.

  12. Debbie, I visited this beautiful post when you posted it, but couldn't leave a comment. I'm back to enjoy the beauty. Great shots! The Citron is so cute. Love the picnic basket on the back.

I'm so happy you decided to stop by my blog. Please leave a comment as I enjoy hearing from each and every one of you!
