Happy Fourth!

We had a busy weekend with a graduation ceremony and attending six graduation parties. It was so nice to celebrate with the graduates!  Joe is glad to have the summer off from school. September will be here before you know it. I set up a patriotic vignette on the table. I love everything red, white and blue.

I also celebrated 30 years with the company I work for. I feel 30 so not sure how I worked 30 years for the same company :-)  We went to see the band Journey in Saratoga Springs. Any Journey fans? Fantastic concert that we will always remember.
I've been using the Waterlogue app and it's a lot of fun. Always a surprise to see my photos in watercolor.

Lots going on this week. On Tuesday, we will celebrate son Cory's birthday at the Melting Pot in Albany. Happy 28th to Cory!

On Thursday, we will be heading to our camp in the Adirondacks for the Fourth of July celebration. The BEST FIREWORKS ever. They set up at the beach, and shoot them right over the water. People anchor their boats and it is lovely. It is such a busy weekend. Guess who's cooking?

Our summer has been splendid so far. We have had six beautiful weekends in a row! We can't get enough of dining al fresco. This is where we sit ;o)

Thank you for stopping by! I'll be back to sharing recipes in the fall.

Hello, I'm Debbie.I enjoy hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the Adirondack Mountains (thus Mountain Breaths). I live in Upstate NY with my supportive husband and have three precious sons..

  1. Debbie I would love to come and sit on your porch with you and enjoy the summer. It certainly flies too quickly doesn't it? I love your deep reds and blues. Waterlogue is so fabulous and with those colors, it looks even better. I took a photo of my granddaughter and did it in Waterlogue and printed it out and framed it and gave it to her great grandparents and told them I had "painted" it! They love it.
Have a wonderful 4th of July!

    1. Framing the Waterlogue "art" is a great idea! Yes, summer flies much too quickly Jacqueline. I will savor every moment of it.

  2. I am pining for waterlogue:-)
I am coveting your chicken..and the succulents are adorable..
    Happy fourth !
    Is that Huldine?
I love her..she's just starting here..
I may be wrong but what a little lookalike.
    Congratulations on 30!

    1. When you are ready to play with Waterlogue, I will share a few tips with you. One thing I've recently learned is that there are settings for size. The default is medium, but if you want to print the "watercolor", use the original size setting for best quality.

Yes, that is Huldine, and she's quite a performer.

    2. I will let you know when the Apple falls off the points tree:-)

  3. Debbie, I adore THIS VIGNETTE for the 4th! Every piece on the great MC table is great, like your B&W lamp, the chicken and flower vases. I too would love to have a glass of lemonade in that inviting porch you have. Loved your visit!

    1. You would be most welcome to join me on the porch Fabby! Love you!

  4. Lovin' your patriotic pie birds Debbie! Happy 4th of July Week-enjoy it:@)

  5. I love your darling patriotic vignette, my friend.
Yes, I love Journey, too, and I'm sure you and Joe enjoyed the concert!
Happy 30 years with your company, Debbie. They are fortunate to have you!
I'm pretty sure your Mom is going to spend the 4th with you at your cabin.
Happy Birthday to Cory. You've had a lot going on so dar this summer. Enjoy the rest of it as it'll be Fall before we know it. xo

  6. Heck, yes, I'm a Journey fan! I've loved them since way back in "the day." You're so lucky to have seen them in concert! I'm glad you had a good time!

I have hit the last of the Tuesday Mornings to no avail. I had a good time out there shopping around for the quilt. Even though I was never able to find it for you, I found lots of goodies for moi! :-) Thanks for giving me an excuse to shop!

    1. Alycia, it was great to hear your voice! Thank you for looking for the quilt! Remember the ideals of liberty and have a joyful American Independence Day!!!

  7. I just love your pretty summer look!

  8. I love that app and need to download it for my phone. I wish they made a desktop version because most of my photos are saved to my computer which is not Apple. Your watercolor images are so pretty! Pretty pics to begin with :)

I had Huldine but she died :( I need to find another one.

  9. Congratulations on 30 years! Love your red, white and blue vignette...that covered chicken casserole is adorable. I also like the little urns you have turned into planters.
I tried a few different settings with my camera recently and got it so messed up I had to have Howard reset it as everything was coming out blurry...he told me not to mess with it any more...that is almost like talking to the wind.
    Have a great week, Debbie.

  10. Very cute vignette for the 4th! I like that covered dish with the chicken! Congrats on 30 years at the same job! You don't see many people stick with the same company these days!

I'm so happy you decided to stop by my blog. Please leave a comment as I enjoy hearing from each and every one of you!
