Towering buildings, a train depot with an actual moving train and constructed from more than 600 pounds of gingerbread dough. And 2,500 Elf Hours :-)

Back home after filling the cart to the brim at Wegman's and Trader Joes. Each year, I put together themed gift baskets for my family and this year's theme is Under The Tuscan Sun. I found pasta at Trader Joe's that was two feet long! I had to get it ;o)
Trader Joe's had the nicest greens bouquet for 4.99 so it hopped into my tote. Joe and Miss Aurora commented they are the nicest greens for the price. I've been wanting to try Flat White at Starbucks so I treated myself. Have you tried it? It has ristretto shots of espresso with steamed milk and is not too strong -- just right. I added spices to mine and loved it.
I took the photo below while munching on dark chocolate covered Peppermint Joe Joe's from Trader Joe's. Oh my!!

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, I strolled through one of our local shopping areas to see what I could put into my tote. I love the cork garland they made for the wine bar, and the cheese store was filled with local yummies.

Rejoice in the magic of the merriest season!
Join the fun!
Debbie, I've never tied Peppermint Joe Joes but I'm headed there today so I'll see if they still have some! The idea of sitting in front of your pretty mantel and munching chocolates sounds wonderful. That gingerbread village is amazing. We go to one every year but it is nothing like this!!!! I would just love to see it. I'll have to put it on my list! Enjoy the rest of the prep time before Christmas. It looks like you are ready. I would love to see what else you add to the Tuscan Sun gift baskets! Linda
ReplyDeleteVery cute..I do love the pearls on your mantel too..I bet I would have loved seeing all those gingerbread houses..who wouldn't in fact?
ReplyDeleteGReat decors and you look lovely..PS You know where to get corks:)
Debbie, your mantel/fireplace area is adorable - so many CC goodies there, I'll try not to be envious (but I am). Sounds like Peppermint Joe Joe's only being available for a limited time is a good thing, hehe. That's pretty much how I feel about all the food and frolic of the season. Your adventures were definitely fun stops - thanks for taking us along. Cheers to more adventures in 2016!
