The recipe is from Woman's Day - July 2004. They fly out of the pan at pool parties, football games and pot luck parties. I made these a hundred times when the kids were playing sports and we were doing tailgate parties. I brought them to my niece's pool party on the Fourth and brought the pan home empty. It makes 48 bars.
1 box white cake mix (choose your favorite brand)
2 large eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 stick butter, cut small
1. Heat oven to 350. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
2. Beat cake mix, eggs and oil in a large bowl with mixer until blended. Press 2/3 in pan.
3. Microwave condensed milk, chocolate and butter in a bowl on high for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Pour mixture over crust. Top with teaspoonfuls of reserved cake mixture.
4. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned. Cool; cut into bars.
Thanks for stopping by!
