It brought back memories of my grandparent's Shasta trailer that people are paying big bucks for and glamping them out. Look at the sweet little wing on my grandparent's trailer :-) Last year, I spotted a 1966 Shasta trailer for sale and it reminded me of the "glamping nights" when I was a youngster. My grandparents brought their cute Shasta trailer to my parent's camp, and we had campfire dinners, dressed up in my grandmother's costume jewelry, baked pies in the little oven, had treasure hunts, and my favorite thing was to sleep in the "bed" on the upper level of the trailer. Oh how I would love to go back in time and am so grateful for these memories.

Getting Ready for the Holidays...Norm and Lana's Shasta Trailer
Debbie@Mountain Breaths November 23, 2016
I'm supposed to be in the kitchen getting ready for our Thanksgiving dinner but I had to share this in case you want to purchase one. When I was in Walmart today, I found a pre-baked Gingerbread Camper Kit and there were only a few left. They must have just put them on the shelves because I have been stalking Walmart for the last two weeks after seeing it on Facebook. Our Scoots group is getting together soon for this fun project!

The ad read: $4,800 Adorable 1966 16' Shasta Travel Trailer. We have painted the inside and outside, new flooring, replaced a front window and removed and corrected the damage from some wood rot. The front door had been replaced by the previous owner along with the sub flooring. And it was done correctly or we would of redone it. We left the original Ice Box for storage, however we added a dorm refrigerator in. Trailer comes with a double hot plate and toaster oven. The oven was removed by the previous owner, however the gas lines still are there if someone wanted to replace it. Comes with portable A/C and all decorations you see. This is a great Camper, ready to roll. She was built right here in the Grapevine, Texas plant and been in Texas all her life. Texas Title in hand. Asking $4800.
IT SOLD IMMEDIATELY. I KNEW IT WOULD.

I am happy you found your kit. What fun it will be to assemble and what memories it will bring flooding in. Happy Thanksgiving Deb to you and yours. Blessings.............
ReplyDeleteThe Gingerbread Camper kit looks like such fun to build and decorate, Debbie. I loved reading about your memories of your grandparent's camper and all the fun you had at camp. The Shasta camper that you shared is sure glamped out to perfection! Hope you and Joe had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was in Ohio with my mom and sisters spending time with them.
ReplyDeleteI love that it brings back such happy memories for you, Debbie ♥ My parents bought an RV after they retired and my girls still have great memories of playing inside of it when we visited.
