The barred owl is a day hunter and is very active this time of year keeping the owlets fed which presents a good chance of seeing one and getting a picture. We were driving on Route 8 which is a fairly busy road with wide shoulders, so when Joe spotted this sweet owl sitting in a pine tree, we were able to pull over and take photos from the car. The owl moved from the tree to the ground, and then moved to another tree. I took photos for 20 minutes.
Thank you for stopping by! Spring is so joyful, and my camera never leaves my side.
