We look forward to summer "traditions", and the MacKenzie-Childs barn sale is one of them for me. It's so much more than shopping for items to add to your collection.
Randomly meeting like-minded folks that you have made a connection with is a big part of the sale. I could go on and on. We love taking photos to look back on from year to year. Here are some from last year.
Collecting MacKenzie-Childs enamelware for many is an enjoyable journey/pastime. Piece by piece, building up the different patterns and shapes to use every day or for entertaining. It lasts for years, and we use ours daily.
The Barn Sale 2019 was my favorite so far.

So many social casualties due to COVID. I'm sure you guys will miss this one. I can see why 2019's was so special!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I know you and thousands of other loyal MKC fans are in withdrawal. I have such fond memories of meeting you and Joe at the Barn Sale in 2018. It's fun to look back at your wonderful photos of the farm, the racks and racks of beautiful MKC ware, your Skip the Lind winning photo, fyour abulous chair, Joe and Rebecca, . . . Oh, so many wonderful memories in these photos. Hopeful that next year the Barn Sale can go on as tradition. Thank you for sharing all these memories with us. Made my day!
ReplyDeleteDeb, It's a strange time we are in when our lives are on hold. I am sure you are missing all the fun of meeting friends and looking at all the fabulous sale items. I enjoyed seeing all your past photos, such a fun time. Hope things will be back next year.........
ReplyDeleteIt was nice seeing your photos from last year, Debbie. Hopefully next year, you and Joe will be able to go. This Covid sure has put a damper on life, but there’s always HOPE! ❤️
ReplyDeleteI am so sad for you gals that were planning to meet there this year...it looks like a shoppers dream...I loved revisiting 2019!

So sad about the Barn sale. I hope next year's will happen. Your photos are always great and it is fun to see them all.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a shame that the Barn Sale won't be held this year but totally understandable. Buying larger items online would likely make shipping costs prohibitive too. Save your $$ for next year and hopefully, you can enjoy the best sale ever again with all the traditions you and Joe have enjoyed :)
