Welcome to our September 2020 edition of Tales of the Traveling Tote where TEN totes have been limiting their travel outings instead of the usual "living life" and sharing their adventures. Miss Key West has been getting a lot of use since she holds the credit cards for shopping online.
Miss Bella was happy to visit Spring Creek Lavender in July. The family of six, including husband, wife, their daughter and son-in-law and two grandchildren bought the property three years ago and started the lavender farm. It was a big hit this summer, and one of my favorite outings.
Miss Aurora was happy to finally visit Aurora on my birthday. Even though the beautiful farmhouse was closed for tours, there was some "action" going on inside which was nice to see. We enjoyed shopping in the retail store, but it was just after the online barn sale so there were no splurges :-) I have now received five deliveries from the barn sale as of August 30, with two left to go. My favorite items have yet to arrive, and they have been shipping everything individually to me.
We have been enjoying life in the woods at our camp this summer.
And a quick trip to Lake Placid.
I can't wait to introduce Claire to Miss Aurora. I'm in love already, and we met her Friday evening.
Aren't these the cutest coasters for your favorite beverage ?!!!! Visit Panoply and Miss Luna and leave a comment to have a chance to win. Good luck!

Debbie, this is a perfect post filled with lots of wonderful times. I'm glad you can get out and enjoy the wide open spaces. The lavender farm would definietly be on my list! Fun to see all your CC girls gathered together. Amazing how they seem to multiply. Same here!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new little in your lives. I know Claire is going to growup delighting in time spent with you and Joe. Gardening, baking, hiking, tea parties, and shopping for MacKennzie-Childs will be fun times spent together.
Congratulations on beautiful baby Claire!! I see shopping and tea parties in your future. I’m glad that you and Joe gave been out and about. It seems that shades of purple were enjoyed this summer to the lavender farm and the winery. 💜💜 Your totes got a busy workout!
ReplyDeleteWow, congrats on another grand baby. So much joy added to your lives with baby Claire. It looks like you and a joe have been able to get out and enjoy some activities. The lavender farm looks amazing. So happy to see your collection of totes. The winery looks like fun. Shopping online was an experience for the barn sale. I hope all of your purchases arrive safely,
ReplyDeleteOh Deb, what a lovely summer you've had. Such happy places, I love you visited the lavender farm. I would love that, I have to find one for next summer. Knowing how you enjoy the outdoors I know you've enjoyed these outings to Aurora, the vineyards, your camp and Lake Placid. All awesome and so beautiful. Oh my goodness, you have a granddaughter!!!! Congratulations. I know you will enjoy spoiling her and teaching her to bake and decorate and love the outdoors. So happy for you and Joe, now little Xavier has a playmate. Happy September Deb......
ReplyDeleteI love the "family portrait" of all your bags! I could really be using a Miss Key West or Miss Bella during this pandemic. I have only been using a very small crossbody for essential id, cc since this started, other than 1 or 2 outings (my total outings, basically, lol). Your birthday celebration seemed very intimate, very nice, and your camp undoubtedly has been quite the respite in this year!
ReplyDeleteHappy September. Stay safe and enjoy family time with Claire. ♥
Congrats on your newest family member - how precious to have a girl to share the love of all things!
Oh my - congratulations Grandma! Nothing like a beautiful granddaughter to spoil and love and spoil some more.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a darling collection of bags - jealous, jealous! So glad they got out and about a bit. I just love Madame Jumel - is she a new addition? I have half of my goodies from the barn sale - waiting for more. Now if they do it again you taught me how to snag what I want!!!! Enjoy the change in seasons. I am sure the camp is always wonderful!
Nice to see the entire Courtly Check family! *giggles* You are SO BLESSED to have a granddaughter. I want one so badly!!! I really want to be a grandmother. Your photos are pretty, especially of the lavender farm. What a fun outing! I bet it literally smelled like heaven. Lavender is so soothing, and I love lavender honey, too.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Ricki Jill
Congratulations on your new granddaughter Claire! ♥ Oh, I see lots of MC in her future :) And hikes, of course! I can't wait to see all of the goodies you bought at the online barn sale! I just bought a couple small items for the bathroom and am still waiting to receive them. Did you get to shop early this year...Skip the Line?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteI know the lavender farm smelled wonderful. Your outings sound fun.
Your MKC goodies look very nice.
Congratulations on your beautiful little granddaughter. I know the two of you will fill her life with wonderful moments together. I've been trying to find a way to comment on your blog...perhaps this will go through.
