This and That #7

Happy February, I saw these gorgeous cookies on the Romantic Homes and Gardens group that a friend invited me to on FB but they didn't give credit to the bakery except that it is in England. I don't eat cookies that look like this LOL, but am so intrigued by these little works of art.
Thankfully Joe and I both love being outdoors in the winter, so we have been cross country skiing, hiking with micro spikes and snowshoeing. Gets us out of the house, and the exercise is very good for us.
I think so :-)
Our little angel Claire ate the whole cupcake on Grandpa's birthday.
I am a big fan of  Dolly so of course I will be looking for these items at my local grocery store in March.
Owls fascinate me, so I've been making ornaments for next Christmas. For now I just put them on a wreath in my sun room.

A few hearts on display.
Before we go, someone recently shared this with me. If you forget to pull the butter out of the fridge to soften it to make cookies and need to soften it quickly but don't want to melt it….Here's a pro tip - put  boiling hot water in a glass to heat the glass. Dump the water out and  flip it over your stick of butter. In a few minutes it will be perfectly soft and ready to use!  Happy baking!

  1. Those cookies are too beautiful to eat! And those owls are simply adorable, Debbie. I didn't realize you were making them! I'd love to see your pattern/directions.
We get outside even when it's cold and snowy, but I am glad to wave goodbye January! Happy February!

  2. Debbie, You and angel Clair are both adorable! I love your hat! And if you are a Dolly fan you MUST go to her museum at Dollywood!! We spent several hours in there, and we didn't even think we would be interested at all, but it's filled with treasures and is tremendously entertaining. She is amazing. Stay warm and safe during this next storm. We are going snowshoeing today, a new sport for us which we started last year after Santa dropped off sets for everyone! Linda xo
