Retirement was on my mind, and I just realized that I never published my blog post from Easter. Hope you are enjoying the spring awakening as much as I am.
I love when my sister hosts a holiday so I can be a guest. We had a wonderful Easter celebration with 75% of the family being able to join us.
My little buddy Xavier enjoys "creating" and when I asked him what he would like in his Easter basket, he said paint supplies. I hope he continues to be interested in painting and creating.
I made Crown Jewel Jell-o from the 60's for Easter. I don't care for Jell-o but it turned out nicely.
My sweet grand nieces and grand nephew. All the littles in my family are age six and under right now. I just love these ages.
I've been retired one week, and have been busier than when I worked. I think I was so excited to retire that I filled my calendar with a LOT the first few weeks. Starting at the end of May, I plan to spend every morning in my garden and then take a walk.
Lots of ups and downs in spring but garlic is always that calm, rock steady, nerves of steep crop. Shakes it all off, and plows on.
Fun evening celebrating Cinco de Mayo, and moving right along to the Kentucky Derby party we are hosting for our supper club on Saturday. I remind myself of my mother when I am trying on clothes deciding what to wear. Clothes all over the bed :-)
Happy Weekend everyone.
