This is a favorite time of year, and I get to observe the bees while hiking and in the garden. A friend thought of me and shared a recipe recommended for the Charlotte cake pan by Nordicware that makes a cake truly magical. Similar in appearance to a traditional French dessert that requires great care to make, this design replicates the dessert with ease. The cupped top allows for toppings and garnishes to be cradled without hassle or mess, creating a gorgeous finished look. I ended up using my own recipe and made a pistachio cake that was topped with lemon buttercream frosting.

If you're like me, you might buy a bouquet of flowers from the grocery store until we have flowers in our garden that we can pick for our vases. I found this tutorial on how to arrange a Beautiful bouquet instead of just plunking them in a vase.
Hope everyone has a great summer!
Let me know if you visit the Adirondack Mountains, and I'll be happy to take you on a hike.
