The dahlia farm is approximately 40 miles from where we live, and I'm in the process of choosing which dahlias I will order for my 2026 garden. Some of the tubers sell out quickly so I have to try my best to be competitive once they post their list of tubers on January 1.

It was a rough summer for the dahlias at the farm, and they are blooming late this year.
This is the field of dahlias from last year when Joe and I attended on the same date. Hopefully next summer will be better for the dahlias.
Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer for us. What a wonderful summer we had for swimming, fishing and kayaking at camp.
I'm still working on my 365 mile challenge, and these hikes/walks combine my three favorite things: looking at plants, marveling at the natural world with others who are equally moved, and photographing anything that catches my eye.
Wishing my grandchildren a great school year. Xavier is in 4th grade, Quinn 2nd, Claire started Kindergarten and Harper is in Pre-K.
My friend is hooking up our new computer for us tomorrow evening, and hopefully I will be able to access my blog. Last time there was a hiccup and it took me a while to get things up and running again.
Have a great Fall. 🍁🍂🍃
