. My friend Colleen made a beautiful gift for our friend Paula's birthday by taking an old bottle, added some bling, filled it with flowers and brought it to GIRLS weekend at my camp. My wheels were turning this morning, so I used a teeny jar, an old necklace, some ribbon and an owl pin. Take any bottle or jar, give it a little bling and add flowers

My creative husband saw me adding bling to my little jar, and suggested I put some colored water in an old bottle of his, and use it for a vase. I love it, and love that he shared it.

And then he offered more bottles from his collection, and I put some blue colored water in them. This is my view out the window. So much prettier now!

P. S.
A lake shot from our girls weekend. There are five of us that got together at my camp to celebrate the June birthdays. There is nothing like a girls weekend :-)

Thank you for stopping by!  I'm joining You're Gonna Love It Tuesday and Stonegable's TTT.

  2. Hi Debbie I am over from Kathe's. This is such a neat idea. I collect cobalt blue bottles so don't need the colored water but I sure got an idea for outdoor lights. Love it. Pop over for a visit in my neck of the woods.

  3. Cute little bottles - and I agree, the girls must always make time for each other, how nice you could all get away!

    1. I could not agree more about the girls Patti!

  4. Hi Debbie, I love your new header and love the pretty bottles. You do have a lovely view!!

  5. Kitty, I never take our view for granted. Thank you for your visit!

  6. How perfectly lovely! Who knew Mr. Mountain Breaths was so clever and sweet :) (I suppose you did.)

  7. Very pretty the bling bottles! Love Joe's idea for the colored water. Nothing like a girl's weekend, looks like a fun time!

  8. How clever of your husband to suggest putting colored water in the bottles... they look so pretty! He has a wonderful bottle collection:)I love the picture of the blue bottles all lined up against that gorgeous backdrop!Sounds like girls' weekend was a lot of fun at the lake..lovely picture of the lake. Thanks for sharing and for your sweet comment. I enjoyed your company.~Poppy

  9. Debbie the bottles are gorgeous!

The lake photo is wonderful. So peaceful and cool.

  10. Debbie,
Cute idea. The blue flowers look so pretty in those containers with the blue colored water. Looks like a fun weekend you had there.

  11. Very cute idea and you have the perfect place to put them so they show up beautifully.

What fun you ladies must have had :)

  12. That blue is so soothing...did it color the flowers?
    Sounds like a fun weekend!

  13. Love the idea of the colored water along with the flowers and bling. So sweet and colorful!

  14. Debbie, the bottles with colored water look refreshing. My mom used to add colored water to her collection of vintage bottles that she kept in a large window of our living room.

  15. Such pretty bottles, I like the owl especially. Want to see more photos of your "glamping" weekend! xo

I'm so happy you decided to stop by my blog. Please leave a comment as I enjoy hearing from each and every one of you!
