We have sweet bunnies hopping down the table just in time for Easter!
I made a 40" runner with burlap that I bought by the yard at a craft store. Once I sewed the runner on my machine, I stenciled three black bunnies following the instructions on the Eclectically Vintage Blog. To make the stencil, I used an exacto knife and a plastic report cover that I had leftover from a presentation. For the tails, I used 1.5" white pom poms from the craft store.
I "Kenzied up" the bunnies by adding bows that I made from Mackenzie-Childs ribbon. My friend Patti at Pandora's Box recently "Kenzied up" a beautiful chest that you will love seeing. "Kenzied up" is her phrase and I love it!
You can find the instructions for my bunny ear napkin holders here.
I have been playing around with pastel colors this week during the snowstorm. Where is spring? The Easter bunny is going to need skis to deliver the Easter baskets this year! We're having tea for two to beat the winter blues.
Thanks for stopping by! I am joining the great hostess Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish and Between Naps On The Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
xo

Oh my goodness Debbie, your table runner turned out sooooo cute. I love how you "kenzied" up the bunnies with their spiffy bows. Your tea table looks gorgeous. I hope the Easter Bunny can make some magic and have Spring arrive soon for all of you. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it!!!! TOO cute! I love the 3-D effect of the runner! You MADE your own stencil??!?? Wow...that had to have taken a lot of patience as well as a very steady hand...neither or which I possess! :-) Your napkin rings turned out great, too!!! You'll be able to use both the runner and the rings for years to come!

ReplyDeleteIsn't this snow crappy? I had to pull over yesterday because I was in a white out squall that was so blinding that I could not see the car in front of me! Your runner is so sweet and looks great with your napkin rings. Love how that teapot coordinates so well with MC! - Too bad it isn't looking like spring around here!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where that table runner went. Last time I saw a post from you in my blog list it showed a picture and title of the runner but it turned out to be your previous post. Darned technology :)
