Tales of the Traveling Tote #22

Welcome to our March 2020 edition of Tales of the Traveling Tote where TEN totes are living life and sharing their adventures. In January, our tote group celebrated a FIVE year anniversary with a very special Serendipity Tote Bag giveaway. The comments we received were serendipitous!
My tote has been packed for long weekends in January and February.
I bet you can guess that the queen 'Miss Aurora' enjoys the snow
and is happy to celebrate our anniversary.

In January, we celebrated Joe's birthday weekend at the Mirror Lake Inn. The snow was minimal and the lake was slushy, but we had lots of fun and decided to go dog sledding on Mirror Lake. In the 20+ years we have been coming to Lake Placid, we have never gone dog sledding and it was time! Lake Placid was also gearing up for the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1980 Winter Olympics that was held in their charming town.
Doesn't the MacKenzie-Childs cup and saucer look so pretty in the snow?!
We had record snow on February 7th and skiing was great along the Sacandaga River Auger Falls. We went with our hiking club and stayed for two nights in the Chi Rho Lodge on Lake Pleasant. All meals were provided, and in the evening we played cards and hung out around the huge fireplace. We are hoping for another record snowfall this winter before we head into spring. As long as there is snow, my tote will be packed for weekend fun.
Miss Aurora and I went to a baby shower of all baby showers on February 22 hosted by fellow MacKenzie-Childs lovers and parents-to-be. We were picked up in a parking lot by horse and wagon, and upon arrival we were greeted at the adorable entryway. Joe and I were happy to meet Patti from Pandora's Box at the shower, as well as a few Instagram pals, and we all enjoyed their home that was filled with excitement and a special Winnie the Pooh theme.

I'm only sharing photos of the baby's room and the actual shower, but I can tell you that Tom's passion for MacKenzie-Childs and his decorating skills blew me away. It was our shared passion for MCK that brought us together in the first place, and Tom warmly welcomed us into his home.

This is the proud dad.....Tom went all out to make this baby shower the best it could be.  The twins are due in May :-) I met Tom at the MacKenzie-Childs barn sale a few years ago, and thankfully social media helps us stay in touch daily.
Any Schitt's Creek fans ?! Winter evenings have been fun as Joe and I both love the show. It's hysterical!

When Miss Aurora heard that BEEKMAN 1802 and SCHITT’S CREEK collaborated on a pop-up store in Sharon Springs, (a small NY town in the middle of nowhere), we headed out for the day. Schitt's Creek fans have come from all over the United States! As a tribute to the show, Beekman 1802 transformed their cult favorite scent, Heirloom Rose, into Rose Apothecary — the namesake of David Rose’s general store in Schitt’s Creek. Miss Aurora is enjoying the rose scented candles, lip balm and goat milk soap very much.
A group of friends arrived dressed as the entire cast of Schitt's Creek. Amazing!
My friend Tami who loves sharing her tote photos with me, sent me this fabulous photo she took when she traveled to a stitching weekend. I would not get a single stitch done if I were there. LOL
Now about that giveaway!
Isn't this the cutest wisk ?!!!! Visit Jenna and Miss Coquille and leave a comment to have a chance to win it. Good luck!

If you have a few minutes to visit the other "travelers", I always find it fascinating to "visit" places they have been that I have never heard of.
