The year 2020 is the 100th anniversary of Women's Right to Vote! In New York, we have a new hashtag #sunflowerselfieny. Why sunflower selfies? Elizabeth Cady Stanton was born in CNY and was an American suffragist, social activist, abolitionist and leading figure of the early women's rights movement. Using the pseudonym, "Sunflower", Stanton wrote articles about temperance, child-bearing, education and women's rights for the first newspaper for women between 1849 and 1853. Her home in Seneca Falls, NY is now part of the Women's Rights National Historical Park.
I was gifted two zucchini that were the size of newborns, so I made four loaves of my favorite zucchini bread with one of the zucchini. The second zucchini I tried to be more creative so I made brownies and ratatouille.
I used the zucchini brownie recipe from King Arthur Flour and sprinkled with sea salt flakes.
Blueberry picking in 2020. I hope I can look back on this some day and these required masks will all be behind us.
I hope to resume painting in the winter and spring :-)

Oh don't you just love when friends drop off veggies. Love zucchini bread but never tried the brownie recipe, they look delicious. Little Xavier is darling picking blueberries. Loved the sunflowers. I had a bouquet last week I enjoyed and used them for a table setting I'll share soon. Have a grand week Deb......

I love all of those beautiful sunflowers, your zucchini 'baby' bread and brownies! A little splash of MC here and there always makes me smile :) Yes, hopefully next summer the masks will be behind us but who ever thought it would be hanging around as long as it has :( Shoo bug!
