Traveling Tote #26

If you are here for the first time, welcome to Mountain Breaths. Today I am joining a group of talented bloggers to bring you our quarterly Tales of the Traveling Tote.

We celebrated Joe's 60th birthday in a former Rockefeller camp in a remote location in the Adirondacks in late January. Miss Aurora was happy to sit on the beautiful couch in the Great Hall.

So tranquil! Iroquois, one of the four original bedrooms in the Rockefeller's main house, enjoys stunning lake views, lounging and dining in the Great Hall, and close proximity to the top of the winter tubing hill for outdoor fun! Miss Aurora certainly enjoyed the tranquility in front of the fire and views of the lake.
We would go out for a walk and stop at the "Pub" where we had the room to ourselves. Of course Miss Aurora loved the jukebox.

Each time we would pass the entrance to The Point on our walks, an employee would spot us and offer to take our photo. It was a very cold day with a high of six degrees.

Thank you for joining me on my travels! Next is the best part. The Giveaway!!

  6. That looks like a fun getaway! Y'all look cozy, and I bet there's a lot of history there. Your accommodations look rustic, yet very comfortable and cozy. I think it's romantic you had a pub room all to yourselves. Y'all are the cutest couple, BTW! It's nice to see a couple getting out and doing something fun....I am so hopeful that we will be able to take our two trips in May.
