Happy May! I hope this finds you well. Did you have a nice weekend? We went to Geneseo, NY to see the Bluebells blooming their little hearts out. We hiked four miles on private land, and were treated to acres of bluebells.

I have never seen so many bluebells all in one place. The land is protected. Thank you to @GeneseeValleyConservancy #GeneseeValley for the opportunity to see the beautiful bluebells today. Perfect temperatures for the 4 mile hike, and a quick stop at Montezuma to see the wildlife on our way home.
One of activities in early Spring is to visit the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge (near the Finger Lakes) to watch all the bird activitty during breeding season. There is a viewing platform at the Eagle statue which we like to use.

We're expecting some rain and cloudy skies for the week. That should keep some of the flowers from blooming too early. Everything is ahead of schedule here.

ReplyDeleteWe have wild bluebells along our woods line and I love them. What a gorgeous sight to see a whole field of them! What a glorious tulip farm too. I hope you picked a big bunch! I love the Derby hat straws! What a cute idea for a ladies luncheon.
