TALES OF THE TRAVELING TOTE #43

Happy June, and welcome to the Spring edition of the Tales of the Traveling Tote. This edition of the Tales of the Traveling Tote has taken me to Mackenzie-Childs, and Miss Aurora is packed for Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.
I thought I would include a couple of the other National Parks that Miss Aurora has travelled to since we won't start traveling again until mid June.

Who's ready for dining alfresco! We are warming up slowly and I am more than ready.
We typically have our weekends {roughly} planned out, but on a rainy Saturday Joe suggested we hop in the car and take a drive to the Finger Lakes for wine tasting and some early Mother's Day shopping at MacKenzie-Childs. Joe is on their mailing list and saw the new Emerald Checks (he actually reads their emails) :-) :-) So off we went. We got a 10% discount on our purchase by going on the Farmhouse Tour.
The Emerald Check is very pretty, and will be especially nice in an Irish household.  Joe bought the tall vase which I look forward to using for garden blooms. I envision fall colors and pine branches for the winter.
Even the Pellegrino water looks better with Emerald Checks :-)  They were giving free Pellegrino water when we were at the store.
We went on the Farmhouse Tour, and were delighted to see it was still decorated for Easter. I have seen it decorated for all the other holidays, but never for Easter.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of MacKenzie-Childs retail store and the Farmhouse Tour.
This is Joe's favorite room in the Farmhouse.

  1. Yellowstone and the Tetons! Have a blast! I love that felted wool bison, too cute! The Aurora farmhouse is adorable in its Easter finery. Tell me, did you buy green sneakers just for the occasion? 😉

  2. Deb, exciting news to know you are off exploring Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. My family visited often when I was a child. Our summer vacations were always to the mountains during those years. Fond memories! I'll be eager to see photos and read of your adventures.
I'd love to visit the MKC farm during the spring when all the tulips are in bloom. I admire MKC for their stewardship with the property. It always looks lovely! Glad you added the Emerald Check. I've not jumped in as yet, but it is pretty. I hope they will offer ceramics in this color. Happy June and happy travels!

  7. Well, Joe definitely earns cuteness points for reading MacKenzie-Childs emails and planning a Mother's Day shopping trip to Aurora! I think the Emerald Check is so pretty, and it should be in every Irish home (including MINE) haha... Thanks for the tour of the farmhouse, and you were very lucky to see the pretty Easter decor! I would love to be able to visit Aurora again. When is the next sale? I also enjoyed seeing your photos from the National Parks. We are blessed to have such a variety of natural beauty here in America!
