Garnet Hill Knockoff for $10.00

I had my eye on this bed from Garnet Hill for one of our spare bedrooms. I love the early 20th century time worn iron bedsteads. You may have heard me squealing when I found a similar one for ten dollars.

We went to to garage sales over Memorial Day Weekend, and there was a teenager selling the iron headboard and footboard. I asked him where he got it, and he said he was hiking in the woods near his camp when he spotted it. When I saw the price of $10, I couldn't get it loaded into our truck fast enough. And I wish you could have seen his face. He was thrilled to make ten dollars.

All we had to do was sand it and give it a coat of  spray paint. My husband attached it to the bed frame for me.
