Love your new iron bed. And you couldn't beat that $10 price....
ReplyDeleteI just gave a granddaughter my vintage iron full size bed. She is only 11 and already loves antiques and vintage. It looks adorable in her room. :)
I like your gossip bench, too. One stood in the hall at our old homeplace as I was growing up and I'd give a thousand dollars for it, now. It most likely went into one of my mom's famous garage sales. :)
I just linked up to follow you thru bloglovin and Google Friend...I thought I'd followed you all along but, when I checked, sure 'nuf....I wasn't. I AM NOW, THO. :))
Oh my goodness! What a find! Looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! Oh, I love your iron bed and you do know you stole that, don't you? :) We had one just like it and used it for my daughter. This was in the late 80s and we had painted it mauve. Sounds yucky today but back then it was so pretty. I could kick myself that I sold it at a garage sale! :) Thanks for your sweet visit.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

ReplyDeleteI am looking for an iron bed, myself. Back in the 70s, I saw them everywhere, but nowdays they're hen's teeth. What a buy!!! And it's just gorgeous. Your "nesting" pillow looks perfectly at home.
ReplyDelete$10.00??? What a deal, dear friend! I just love it and does it ever look pretty all spiffed up, painted and layered with pillows. Love it!!! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic find, Debbie! I'm sure the one one Garnet Hill was NOT anywhere near $10! It looks so inviting for your guests--a perfect place to nest for the winter. Linda
ReplyDeleteWow! Debbie, what a find! I imagine you did squeal. I would have too. It looks so pretty in your bedroom, and I cannot believe you only paid $10 for it. That teenager was meant to find it for you. laurie

ReplyDeleteWow! It's lovely, good for you. -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love it. I used to sleep in one of these when I was a kid at my Grandma's....Ohhh the memories. Such a lucky score, congrats on finding it!
ReplyDeleteI love the bed! I had vintage iron beds for my children growing up, now they're stored in the attic. Once I get a spare room, I plan on setting up both in the same room. I love the old metal or iron beds! As a bonus, with children, they are almost indestructible!
ReplyDeleteGreat find Deb. I know you were thrilled at the $10.00 price tag. You lucky woman......xo Linda
ReplyDeleteWow, nice find, Debbie! Glad to see your wonderful sense of decor is still in full swing :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Debbie! When we bought out first cottage at the beach there was one in the shed I gave away.
ReplyDeleteNice buy! Love your handpies and goodies too!
Snow in your header, oh no!
