I love that you peek in to see what I'm up to.
We planned on doing the bunny ear egg napkins that I had in my Easter 2020 file. So Joe and I played around with different napkins and eggs for our table for two. As many of you know, I host Thanksgiving and Easter and usually have 12-16 family members, and this Easter they will happily take a rain check. Everything I bought for Easter was two months ago....I found the cutest Easter bunny garland at Joann's.
I'm having a little fun with reposting Easter tablescapes this week. For several years, I blogged about tablescapes but I haven't done many blog posts on table settings recently. Tuesday evenings are my favorite night of the week for setting a pretty table since Joe HAD yoga until 7:00 and that gives me time to make dinner after work and set the table. Joe can't wait until he can attend yoga again, and we can start hiking and swimming again at the lake. Here we are entering the Magic Kingdom of the Mountains. When we pass by this sign, we know we are almost to our camp.
Last year at this time, we went to the MacKenzie-Childs "warehouse sale" in Union Springs (not too far from their retail store in Aurora). The photo below was taken in the retail store. A very colorful store indeed, and I look forward to being able to return. Obviously the warehouse sale was cancelled this year due to COVID-19.
The birdhouse is one of my favorite purchases, and I typically have it on display during Easter before putting it outside for the birds to use for their seasonal home.
Wishing all my dear friends a blessed and Happy Easter! Joe is making lasagna for the two of us, and will freeze the rest for a later date. Our tables will be full again soon. As a wise woman recently reminded us: "..better days will return, we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again." -Queen Elizabeth II

DeleteWe will have a table for two here as well. Not what I'd planned and will be missing our family terribly! Such pretty Spring and Easter vignettes Deb. I know you miss your hikes and fun on the trails. Hope we'll all be back to our routines soon. Take care, stay safe.........Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteEaster blessings to you & Joe, Debbie. ♥
ReplyDeleteMany Easter blessings to you and Will too. ♥
DeleteHi Deb! Easter dinner for two here as well...I am looking forward to selecting the right pjs for the day! I've always loved those M-C birdhouses and have wanted the hollyhock one with the pink roof forever. Maybe when they have the next warehouse sale I will go. All our trails and parks have been closed here for a few weeks and we are missing our walks too. But the Adirondack Store is coming back to our town! It was almost ready to open, so I hope they survive this downtime! Say hi to Joe from Al too! Linda
ReplyDeleteLinda!!!! So nice to receive a comment from you. I might join you and select Easter PJs for our day too. I am 100% sure that I won't have any visitors this year. I've had my hollyhock birdhouse for over six years, and it takes a beating with the birds nesting in it. But I clean it up every fall, and it still looks great. We are missing the trails in the Adirondacks, but our local trails are thankfully still open. I hope the Adirondack Store is able to open soon, and survive the downtime. Say hi to Al too! Joe and I still talk about our wonderful weekend in the city and meeting both of you. I'll be contacting you about meeting up again once we are able to travel again.
DeleteHave a great Easter - it will be just the two of us here, too.....but I will set a pretty table anyway! Love all of your "checks"!!
